Single Entry Visa

The Indonesian Single-Entry Visa is one of visa options that is quite often applied for by foreigners who want to stay in the country for a short period of time. Also known as a Visa Kunjungan Satu Kali Perjalanan (Single Visit Visa), this is a type of visa that allows foreign nationals to enter Indonesia for a specific purpose, such as tourism, business, social visits, or cultural activities, for a single entry.

Purpose of Visit

Single Entry Visit Visa is typically issued for tourism, family visits, business meetings, cultural activities, attending conferences and seminars, academic internship, sport activities, training and courses, government activities, industrial visit, and film-making or journalistic activities. Please note that you cannot use this visa for purposes of employment, engaging in activities that earn income, or studying.

There are several types of Single Entry Visa with varying length of stay – 30 days, 60 days, and 180 days.

Multiple Entry Visa

If you are a foreign citizen who frequently visits Indonesia within a certain period of time, a Multiple Entry Visa could be your option.

Purpose

This visa is typically issued for business purposes, such as business talks, conferences, or exploring investment opportunities. Therefore it is commonly called a Multiple Entry Business Visa. However, you may also do activities associated with tourism and visiting friends of family.

Validity

Multiple Entry Visa have varying validity periods. Some are 1 year, 2 years, or 5 years. This visa is non-extendable, which you may need to apply for a new visa once expired.

Stay Duration

The duration of stay is limited to 60 days per visit.

No, you cannot. Opening a bank account in Indonesia requires a KITAS (Limited Stay Permit).

Previously, you could apply for a new Single Entry Visa onshore when your stay permit was about to expire. However, as the government has lifted the Covid pandemic status, onshore applications are no longer available, and you now need to reapply for a new visa offshore. Technically, you must exit the country and you can return with the new visa that has been issued.

In general, yes, you can. Your current sponsor must make a Letter of Authorization and a Statement Letter stating their non-objection to transferring the sponsorship to the new guarantor. However, different local immigration offices throughout Indonesia may have varying internal regulations. It would be best to check with the immigration office in your specific local area.

It would be wise not to; otherwise, the immigration will consider you to be working. If you have to enter an office area, we recommend you keep using guest cards and limit your activities to meetings only.
